Living in a world where we were once one
Our spirit pure
Shared secrets of truth surrounded our sacred dance
Tempting moments would breathe around every corner
Neither one dared to walk

I shared the depth of my earth
I shared my minds glorious dreams
I gave to you with no strings attached

Then one day you chose to walk on the other side
Such a tempting apple you chose to bite from
You proclaim to be the bearer of light
While you swim within your own cesspool of broken thoughts
And envy is your only true friend

I gaze upon you dancing within your demented dream
While the puppet master guides and protects your tainted soul
Do they know you play them like a violin?
With your seductive smile full of loves poison
Do they know you move through shadows?
Do they know you collect their thoughts and neatly tuck them away until a rainy day?

You lack strength
So you control everything you touch
And we are the court jesters dancing in your masquerade ball
While you sit amused by our ignorance

Look into the mirror of your own reality
You can not hide from the truth that haunts your waking dream
I see all of you as you hide behind your lets pretend ego

I should have known better
As I watched you sit upon your pedestal of magic dust and stained white ribbon
That your tongue fed my open ears
